December 2016

So I probably should have written this back when it was still 2016 but hey ho - New Years Day is good enough.

To end 2016, my final adventure was a little trip to Budapest just before Christmas.
Now a little side note - I knew it would be cold. Having checked the weather before leaving London I was prepared (or so I thought) for a winter holiday. But after walking around Budapest in temperatures as low as -5°c I can safely say I won't be planning another winter holiday for quite a while!

That being said, my Budapest break was still incredible. I was lucky enough to go with my 2 best friends who have basically been my sisters for the past 12 years. Believe it or not but we've never actually been on holiday together all these years so this trip was definitely a special one!

From roaming around Buda Castle to going on a River Cruise along the Danube we pretty much did all the must see sights of Budapest.

If you're planning a trip to Budapest I would definitely recommend spending a day at the famous Szechenyi Thermal Spa Baths which is one of Europe's largest outdoor spa baths. The experience was incredible and made the minus degree temperatures a little more bearable and a lot more fun.

For something a little bit different I would highly recommend checking out the many escape rooms that Budapest has to offer. They're super fun, addictive and such good value for money compared to London prices.

2016 has been an incredible year for me and I can't wait to embark on a whole host of new adventures in 2017!
