October 2017.

I guess writing posts on New Years Day is becoming a little tradition of mine!

To end 2017, celebrate my 25th Birthday and also celebrate my other half's 26th Birthday - my final adventure of the year was a trip to the gorgeous island of Malta.

Our main reasoning behind choosing Malta as our travel destination was for a bit of affordable winter sun and that's exactly what we got.

We decided to stay at a hotel in Mellieha which was a 10 minute walk from the beach and easily accessible by bus. One thing we learnt was that Malta is a very small island, so small in fact that you can reach the other side of the island in just a 1 hour bus ride!

So over the course of our week long break, we grabbed a bus pass and travelled far and wide. From discovering St Julian's strip (an interesting experience) to the beautiful capital city of Valletta - we saw it all. We explored churches soaked up the sun

If you haven't yet visited Malta, I'd definitely recommend and would love to go back at some point in the future for another relaxing break away from reality.

2017 has been a busy year for me and I'm determined to go on even more adventures in 2018 - with one already planned for January! Hint: I'm going back to my roots ;)
